Concrete Sculptures

Halima was inspired by David Chipperfield Architects to move into working with concrete, while researching a commission for the newly constructed Hepworth Wakefield Gallery in 2007.

Later, after being awarded funding for research and development from the Knowsley Museums and Galleries, she established her own unique way of working with concrete. Each hand-carved sculpture is bespoke, although she has produced smaller pieces which have been cast.
